The kinetic water ram may not be as popular as some other common appliances used in unclogging sinks, but it surely makes for an ideal and convenient way. You don’t have to buy this appliance as many convenience stores rent it out. A kinetic water ram simply works by pumping compressed air into a blocked sink. The device comes with a cylinder from which air is compressed.

Steps in using a kinetic ram to unclog a blocked sink
Step 1: simply place a plastic bucket under the clogged sink, just in case there is a spill.
Step 2: fill up the drain pipe by running water into the clogged sink, and if the drain is partially blocked, keep running the water; you need to keep in mind that the kinetic ram device will be ineffective if there is too much air within the blocked sink.
Step 3: get a piece of wet rag and place it over the vent if there is one; make sure the rag closes the vent to ensure that the kinetic ram delivers the best impact.
Step 4: simply pump up the water ram (make sure the pressure is kept at under 20 psi)and ensure that it is held tight to the opening of the drain of the sink, and then press the rubber fitting at the end of the device gently and into the opening of the drain.
Step 5: Gently pull the trigger of the ram and a blast of air will create an impact on the water inside the sink and inside the clogged drain, thus pushing the obstruction in the sink free.

If you want to save yourself the hassle of going through all these procedures, it will be ideal if you hire a blocked sink N4 expert, who understands the working mechanisms of your sink and plumbing features.
